8th Contingent of ACR in KFOR
The 8th Czech Contingent in size of 500 personnel replaced the 7th Czech Contingent in KFOR operation on 17 January 2006 and the Czech military continued in commanding the NATO military formation of the Multinational Brigade CENTRE in Kosovo which was at the same day renamed to the Multinational Task Force CENTRE. The core of the 8th Contingent was formed by soldiers of the 13th Artillery Brigade based at Jince. The Contingent included personnel also from other units according to required specialities. The mission of this Contingent lasted six months, and the last group of 80 soldiers returned to Prague on 31 July 2006.
- Units of the Multinational Task Force CENTRE (MNTF-C) were formed by soldiers of the Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Slovakia and Sweden.
